Leeder & Assoc Major Atom make Silver Stick Finals!
The Leeder & Associates Major Atom Jr. Attack had a memorable weekend at the rink in their first ever Silver Stick Tournament, only losing in the finals in sudden-victory over time to the Vaughan Rangers.

The Attack started the weekend off with a convincing 10 - 0 win against Port Credit.  Seven different goal scorers included Josh Rayner (2), Wyatt Fry (2), Andrew Carmichael (2), Avery Yarde, Chase Minard, Christian Sinclair and Kaden Zoldy.  Myles Tennant earned the shutout.

Yarde netted a goal the next morning in a tough game against the eventual champions the Vaughan Rangers in a 2-1 loss.

The team bounced back winning 12-2 against Meadowvale, earning them a spot in the semi-final.  Goals scored by Kai Bonterre, Darren Jacques (2), Fry (3), Rayner (3), Sinclair, Yarde, Minard,  and Carmichael.

The semi-final was a cross-over match against North Toronto and was an incredible battle of two great teams with the Attack finishing ahead 6-4.  Goal scorers were Sinclair (2), Rayner (2), Yarde and Fry.

The final late in the afternoon on Sunday saw the Attack meet up with the Vaughan Rangers again.  The game was tight with both teams battling hard throughout.  Our defence and goal tending were on point and the boys were putting pressure on in their end.  The final at the end of regulation was 2-2 with Yarde netting both goals for Owen Sound.  The game went into sudden-victory overtime and Vaughan was able to nudge the first one into the net.

Our boys played with pure heart and their super fans on the bench and in the stands are incredibly proud of their Silver Medal this weekend!
