Minor Bantam Battle to Top of East Division
The Owen Sound Fire Fighter Minor Bantam team started the 2018 season with an exciting 3 game weekend. Friday night saw the Attack host last year’s league champions, the Centre Wellington Fusion.

The Attack would strike first midway through the second period, when Joseph Weiler fired home the rebound from a blocked Brett Warrilow point shot. The Attack held the Fusion scoreless through two. The third would be a different story, with last year’s President trophy winners scoring four unanswered; 4-1 final.

The Owen Sound Fire Fighter Minor Bantam came out on the winning end of both their games at the Tri-County league’s showcase weekend on Saturday. The first matchup of the day saw the Attack defeat the Brampton 45’s 5-2. Scoring for the Attack were Cohen Garvie, Marcus Grajnar Ptok, Kaleb Slayter, Josh Dales, and Cameron Moore.

Game two saw the Attack against the undefeated Milton Winterhawks. The hard hitting affair saw multiple penalty minutes, and power play time for both teams. Owen Sound’s Kaleb Slater scored the games only goal, with the helper from Cam Moore. Kai Bryja posted the shutout.

By days end the two wins were enough to move the Attack to the top of the Tri-County East division. The Owen Sound Fire Fighter Minor Bantams are in action next Saturday with a double header in Oakville.
