Owen Sound Fire Fighter Minor Bantam Tournament Finalist
The Owen Sound Fire Fighter Minor Bantam battled hard all the way to the finals at the 43rd annual Woolwich Fall Memorial hockey tournament.

In the first game of the year, Owen Sound skated to a 1-0 victory over the Grimsby Peach Kings. Owen Sound jumped to an early lead when Marcus Granjnar Ptok tipped in Cohen Garvie’s  shot at the 5:49 mark. Noah Lundgren posted the shut out for the Attack.
 
In Friday afternoon’s matchup, Owen Sound fell 2-1 to the New Hamburg Huskies. Wyatt Cayley set up Kaleb Slater with a beauty backdoor pass for the Attack’s lone marker of the game.
 
Saturday morning’s first match saw the Attack hit the reset button as they skated to a dominate 3-1 victory over the Georgina Blaze. Bryce Martin, Brett Warrilow, and Chase Mertineit scored for the Attack with helpers from Cam Moore, Marcus Grajnar Ptok, Wyatt Cayley, Cohen Garvie, and Kaleb Slayter.
 
Saturday nights semi-final game was an eagerly anticipated rematch with the New Hamburg Huskies. The Attack came out on top with a hard fought 5-3 victory. Marcus Granjnar Ptok scored a pair, Bryce Martin, Kashers Keeshig, and Curtis Duggan added singles. Helpers from Cody Cox, Kaleb Slater, Bryce Martin, Brett Warrilow, Chase Mertineit, Kashers Keeshig, and Cohen Garvie.
 
Sunday’s tournament finals were against the 2018 Tri-County League Champion Woolwich Wolves. The Attack battled hard in what was unquestionably the most physical game of the tournament. The Wolves capitalized on their chances and the Attack fell 5-1. New addition to the team, Josh Dales scored the Attack’s goal with the assist from Marcus Granjnar Ptok.
