The Harold Southerland Major Peewee rep
team fell in a close 2-3 result on the road against the Woolwich Wildcats on Saturday.
Kashius Keeshig scored both goals for the Attack. Unassisted on the first,
Kashius wondered if a player can assist his own goal? He answered that question
in the second period, when he fed Cohen Garvie from behind the net, and then jumped in front to bang home the rebound.
Sunday’s rematch at the Bayshore saw both teams skating to a 4-4 draw. Ten minutes of overtime weren’t enough to decide this matchup. Bryce Martin scored a pair for the Attack, with Ronan Helder and Kashius Keeshig adding singles. A pair of assists from Kaleb Slater, and single apples from Nate Doran, Wyatt McNabb, Will Hellyer and Markus Grajnar Ptok.
The Wooolwich Wildcats are up one game in the best of five Tri-County league finals. The Attack hit the road Friday for a late 7:30 game, and return home for a Saturday match up at the Julie McArthur Regional Rec Centre at 6:15.
