Hunger Helped by Major Bantams
The Owen Sound Major Bantams stuffed the Salvation Army truck with the 749 lbs of food they collected on their Halloween Food Drive.
The players targeted an East-Side neighbourhood and were amazed by how generous local residents were. Team Captain Graham Gateman said "I am so proud of this team for realizing a need and stepping up the way they did. Way to go boys!"
The team will be going to the Food Bank to help stock shelves in the future. Community involvement is a foundational pillar of the team's approach to be "Better Every Day".
