Junior Attack win Silver Stick qualifier
The Owen Sound Garb and Gear Junior Attack captured the International Silver Stick qualifier tournament with a 3-1 win over the Barrie Jr. Colts on Sunday.

Hunter McMillan, Tyson Morrison and Carter Moran scored for the Junior Attack in Sunday's game at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre. With the win the Junior Attack advance to the International Silver Stick tournament in Newmarket on Jan 14-17.
Owen Sound advanced to the tournament final after going 2-0-1 in their pool play earlier in the weekend.
On Saturday afternoon agains the Sarnia Jr, Sting, Owen Sound skated to a 3-2 win on goals by Carter Moran, Elliot Thomson and Landen Humphries.
Earlier Saturday, Noah Hemstock had the shutout as the Junior Attack defeated the Halton Hills Thunder 3-0. Owen Prior, Landen Humphries and Curtis Arnold scored in the win.
Owen Sound opened the tournament with a 3-3 tie with the Hespeler Shamrocks on Friday afternoon.
Cole Gowan, Owen Prior and Tyson Downs scored for the Junior Attack.
It was a strong effort from the entire team that led the minor peewees to victory with the team generating lots of offensive chances, playing tight defence and getting stellar goaltending. The team includes: Calder Adams, Curtis Arnold, Tyson Downs, Jacob Duncan, Cole Gowan, Noah Hemstock, Landen Humphries, Hunter McMillan, Carter Moran, Tyson Morrison, Owen Prior, Elliot Thomson, Jacob Thornley, Jesse Walker and Jamie Nicol.
Team management also played a major role in the victory including head coach Chris Downs, assistant coach Steve Arnold, trainer Murray Prior, manager Jen Morrison and her assistant Jeff Morrison.
Thanks to all the parents, family and friends who came out and cheered the team on.
