Collingwood edges Owen Sound in Collingwood
The Blackhawks came out on top Thursday night as they edged Owen Sound Jr. Attack in Collingwood.
The Blackhawks were the first on the board with a goal at the 6:07 mark in the first but would end up tied at the end of of the period as Hunter Stewart scored with #16 Ronan Helder getting the assist. Owen Sound was shut out in the second period with Collingwood taking the lead again making it 2-1 heading into the third.
The Attack came out strong in the third period with Morgan Armstrong tying the game with a little help from Hunter Stewart who got his first of 2 assists. Nolan Edmonstone would give Owen Sound a short lived lead in this back and forth game with Stewarts second assist but it would not be enough as Collingwood dug deep and rallied back with 2 goals in the last 4 minutes scoring 2 goals and taking the game 4-3.
