9th Ranked Minor Pee Wee's Defeat Hespeler, Split Season Series 1-1-1
The Owen Sound Garb & Gear Source for Sports Minor Peewee’s put their newly achieved top 10 OMHA ‘A’ ranking on the line Saturday in Hespeler against the home side Shamrocks. Lady Luck however was on the Attack’s side in this game, as the visitor’s dominated with their 3-1 victory.

The Attack drew first blood at 9:03 in the 1st with a great effort by left winger Jacob Condy down below the Shamrock's goal line. Fighting off the opposing defenseman and centreman three times to maintain possession, Condy looked out front and saw centre Sam Shakes battling for position. Condy saucered a pass to his linemate and Shakes made no mistake burying the puck into the mesh, staking the Attack to their first lead of the game.

Hespeler responded 28 seconds later with their equalizer off the ensuing faceoff, after some defensive miscommunication. The Attack would not be deterred however as centre Gavin Downs would put the Owen Sound team back in the lead for good, 2 minutes later. Late in the shift, with his wingers heading for a change, Downs found himself in a good position to dump and forecheck while his wingers finished their change. If not for bad luck today, the Shamrocks would have had no luck at all as their defenseman bobbled the dump in. Downs scooped up the loose puck, skated behind the net on his forehand and tried to stuff in the wraparound, but had to be satisfied with collecting his own rebound and lofting it high over the sprawled goaltender, finishing a terrific individual offensive effort.

The Attack’s insurance marker came after a great effort from the Shakes, Condy, Travis Morrison line. All three forwards worked together deep in the offensive zone and cycled the puck in the corner. Morrison found Shakes who then returned the earlier favour, finding Condy in front who went five-hole on the Shamrock goalie with 3:42 left to play in the 1st.  That would be all the scoring as the Attack won 3-1.
