Tykes win again in Georgian Bay Novice playoffs
The Owen Sound Jr. Attack Canadian Tire Tykes got back on track in Angus on Saturday with a 7-0 win over the Essa Eagles. This decisive win comes on the heels of a disappointing home loss last weekend to the Honeywood Hurricanes.

In contrast to last weekend's slow start (down 2-0 in the first two minutes), the team came out flying, surging to a 3-0 lead early in the first. Trainer Jason Playter said that they had their best warm up session of the year, and this intensity translated into a fast start on the ice. After the quick start, the team played shut down defence the rest of the way to allow goalie Myles Playter to record another shutout. Further game details are unavailable.

Coach Rob Martin said after the game, "We have talked all year about playing one shift at a time and starting fast. Today we accomplished both. We also got offensive contributions from all three forward lines, which validates the changes we have made with our lines over the past couple of weeks".

The Tykes now have a record of 2-2 in the Georgian Bay Novice C round-robin playoffs. Next weekend they play two games, home to Essa on Saturday, then on the road to Coldwater on Sunday. The team will need to win both of it's final games and hope for some help to vault into the top two in their pool. Puck drop next Saturday at the Bayshore is set for 3:15.
