The Kunkel Bus Lines Bantam AE’s are Dominant
The Kunkel Bus Lines Bantam AE’s are dominant in their 3rd straight victory on Sunday. The Honeywood Hurricanes blew into town on Sunday to face Owen Sound at the JMRRC.
The hurricane turned out to be little more than an occasional gust causing only a few moments of concern, or perhaps it was the calming effect of goalie Seth Gauthier who stood tall in net for 3 periods of shut out hockey including a 2nd period breakaway where Gauthier waited out the player and calmly directed the opponent’s point blank shot into the corner.
A frankenstorm effort by all players resulted in an 8 goal night for the team. The official scoring sheet has 1st period goals by Dustin Lantz assisted by Tayan MacMillan and AJ Kosempel assisted by Andrew Spitzig. 2nd Period goals came from Tayan MacMillan assisted by George Kearney and Kosempel’s second of the night assisted by Andrew Spitzig and Kwyn Acton. 3rd Period scoring came from Liam McManaman assisted by Kosempel, Dustin Lantz with his 2nd of the night assisted by Bryden Thalen, Alex MacNeil assisted by Jake Richardson and George Kearney, and AJ Kosempel notched the Hat Trick assisted by Braden Marks.
It was another entertaining outing from the team.
With 4 games in 4 days just around the corner fundamental hockey, consistency, discipline and finish will be keys to success.
