Owen Sound Wins Tournament Championship
The Owen Sound Firefighters Minor Bantam Junior Attack were undefeated at a weekend tournament in Toronto, winning the championship game 5-2 over the Toronto Aeros. Trent Duncan(2), Robert Beaumont, Brady Stewart, and Kwyn Acton scored for Owen Sound.
On Friday, Owen Sound defeated the Clarington Toros 4-2. Jesse Schmid, Matt Giefert, Jon Frook and Stewart scored.
On Saturday, Owen Sound beat the Markham Waxers 5-2. Jake McNabb (3) and Giefert (2) scored. Also on Saturday, Owen Sound beat the Aeros 4-1. Cole Walker, Stewart, McNabb and Giefert scored.
