Despite a strong start on Saturday and leading 2 1 after 2 periods, 3 Brampton power play goals in the 3rd period robbed the team of a victory. Goals came from Noah Rouse and Mathew Lyall with assists from Jordan Lawrence and Tyson Wilkins. Reese Pettigrew stopped 28 of 32 Brampton shots on goal.
The team finished the weekend with a decisive victory beating an 8 and 1 Burlington team by a score of 3 to 1 on Sunday in Burlington. Over 20 shots on goal coupled with only 3 minor penalties was a recipe for what was likely the most complete game of the year for the team. Hopefully this game plan for team success can be repeated for the rest of the year where Owen Sound will be a force in the TCMHL.
