The Owen Sound Leeder & Associates major Atoms took the 3 game series to game 4 to win the Atom B Championship series against Midland.  Game 1 was tied, game 2 in Midland was a battle with Owen Sound losing.  This team of dedicated boys once again showed that when they are down they are not out, they fought back to win game 3 in Midland to force game 4.

Game 1 was tied even after 10 minutes of overtime, game 2 in Owen Sound was a close game with Owen Sound losing 2 to 1. This team of dedicated boys once again showed that when they are down they are not out, they fought back to win game 3 in Midland to force game 4. Game 4 was played back at home in front of the home town crowd the Owen Sound squad showed Midland that we deserved the championship.  Owen Sound took the lead early and never looked back.  Although this was not the case during regular season this team finished in last place but when playoffs hit, this team started working together and could not be stopped.  In game 4 Owen Sound finished strong winning 5 to 2.  Scoring Owen Sounds first goal was Luke Gimoldby assisted by Tre Govier.  Scoring a hat trick the next 3 goals were scored by Kaleb Sutherland who was assisted by Collin Struthers, Zac Nicol for 2 of the goals, Colin Kitto, and Joel Coughlin.  The fifth goal was scored by Dominic Millman and assisted by Jerrid Fossold and Luke Grimoldby.  Between the pipes was Brody Caskenette who made some amazing saves with the help of his defenseman, they held Midland at 2 goals.  This was another game that the whole team deserved the hardest worker hat but Colin Kitto was awarded the hat for this game.  Great work boys!  Congratulations!
