Big win for Leeder & Associates Atoms!
Saturday December 10 saw Stayner visit Owen Sound Major Atom team who battled hard for 3 periods to come away with a win!
Stayner started the game by scoring 2 quick goals on Owen Sound but the boys did not let that discourage them. Owen Sound came back and answered with 2 quick goals by Zachary Nicol and Kaleb Sutherland to get back in the game and ended the first period in a tie. Owen Sound easily won the second period by scoring another 5 goals while Stayner only scored two goals. Goaltender, Brody Caskenette shut Stayner down in the third period and Owen Sound scored another two goals to win 9 to 4. Kaleb Sutherland was on fire scoring a total of 4 goals and Zac Nicol picked up his second goal of the game, assisted by Drew VanKooten. Jerrid Fossold scored 2 goals and had 2 assists. Dominic Millman also scored one goal and picked up 2 assists. Collin Struthers, Kurtis Low, Colin Kitto and Tre Govier also assisted on Owen Sounds goals. Great effort boys!
