Major Novice Battle Back to Tie Collingwood
We traveled to Collingwood on thursday night to face them for the first time in our round robin playoff.
The boys started off a little slow giving up 2 goals in the first period. Ryan Campbell made some key saves to shut down Collingwood for the rest of the game. Despite having to overcome a lot of penalties throughout the game we had our chances in the second and third. Spencer Maddock set up Kieran Moore to opened the scoring late in the third to pull us with in 1. After a timeout to regroup Kieran Moore Scored the tying goal shorthanded with 42 seconds left in the game assisted by Drayton Howell. The boys came very close to scoring again with Drayton Howell, Caleb Morrison and Gavin Downs combining for two very good chances as time ran out. The tie was important for our overall standings.
Nice to see the boys never give up.
