Major Novice Play Well at Barrie Tournament
The Boys showed how much they have improved this year. They were competitive with each of the three teams that they played in Barrie starting on Friday morning.

We started off the tourney with an early game on Friday morn against the Oakville Rangers. The boys seemed a little intimidated by Oakville but settled in as the game went on.  Spencer Maddock scored our only goal in a 4-1 loss against the eventual tournament winner. Kieran Moore was awarded the MVP of the game.

Our next game at 6 on Friday was against the Georgetown Raiders.  The boys played much better pressuring the other team and controlling the play most of the game.  The Georgetown goalie made some great saves allowing them to stay in the game and eventually score with 14 sec left.  It was a tough 4-3 loss but the boys continued to show much improvement.  Caleb Morrison scored twice with Kieran Moore adding a single.  Drayton Howell had the lone assist on Caleb's second goal.  Caleb Morrison was given the MVP for the game.

The third game Saturday morning had us up against Hamilton.  Ryan Campbell played a great game in net, holding Hamilton to one goal.  The team really worked hard in front of Ryan as well. Defence did a great job of clearing out the puck, while the forwards also skated much better.  Despite some chances we were only able to score one goal as well with the game ending is a 1-1 tie.  Kieran Moore scored our lone goal assisted by Caleb Morrison.  Ryan Campbell was awarded the MVP for the game.

There were many positives from the three games.  The Boys should be proud of how they played.
