Oshawa Tournament
It was definitely a very successful weekend and it proved to be something that has been noticed in the last few weeks in league games against Flesherton, Beaver Valley and Grand Valley;  this bunch of kids are coming together as a TEAM!

All the hard work in practices is starting to show, as witnessed in the opening game against Ottawa.  After a nervous opening period, the boys began to take control of the game in the 2nd, through hard work and good team play leading to an opening 2-1 victory; a great start to the weekend.

The second game against a very tough Oshawa team began well as Owen Sound Minor Pee Wees' opened the scoring early in the first.  The boys continued to battle hard but Oshawa was not to be denied, scoring 2 halfway through the 3rd for a hard fought 2-1 victory.

Game 3 against Pickering saw the boys start very slowly and only great goaltending by Reese saved Owen Sound from being down by 3 or 4 goals, instead of the 1-0 deficit faced.  The boys found their legs in the 2nd and quickly took control of the game through good old fashioned hard work, resulting in a 4-1 victory.  This set a semi-final game against a very big and physical London team.  London came out hitting and quickly built a 3-0 lead.  Owen Sound Garb and Gear Junior Attack didn't quit and scored a goal early in the 3rd and continued to battle until the end.  Great Job!
