Barrie Canadian Tire Classic Tournament Results Minor Atom A
Congratulations to the BDO Dunwoody Minor Atom Jr. Attack for a great job at the Barrie Canadian Tire Classic.  They experienced a higher level of play and truly proved that they belong at that level by tying the Hamilton Cyclones 3-3.

Owen Sound led in each period up till the 3 minute mark of the third.  A heart-breaker as they were a man short at that time.  Scoring for OS was Jacob Lumley -2, both assisted by Kaleb Sutherland. The third goal was scored by Kurt Low assisted by Jon Vokes and Jacob L.

In  game – 2 they were caught a little off guard as the Barrie Colts netted a couple of goals in the second period and held on to that lead by reducing Owen Sound's scoring chances to a minimum, Owen Sound had a few nice shots in the third period but Barrie’s net minder was unbeatable that game, final score 2-0 Barrie.

In game – 3 Owen Sound once again showed their ability to compete against these larger Centre’s by tying the Oakville Rangers 2-2 .  Scoring against Oakville was Zac Nicol assisted by Ethan Boivin and Jerrid Fossold and tying goal went to Luke Grimoldby assisted by Jacob Lumley.  An exciting match from start to finish as OS fought off 6 penalties to Oakville’s  1.

Unfortunately two ties and a loss wasn’t enough to advance Owen Sound into the Semi’s.

Goal tending by Brody Caskenette and Talon Johnsen was spectacular to say the least they were both tested to the max and were solid throughout the tournament.

Three Cheers for the Management's excellent motivation and the Team's determination and desire to win.  Victory is bound to appear in the next games to come, Good Luck! Boys keep up the hard work.
