Silver Stick Tournament Update
Owen Sound BDO Dunwoody Minor Atom Jr. Attack played great this weekend in the Silver Stick Qualifier Tournament.  They opened the tournament playing against the Barrie Colts.   Scoring for Owen Sound was Dominic Millman assisted by Jacob Lumley.  Kaleb Sutherland scored the second goal assisted by Dominic Millman but it wasn’t enough to stop the Colts as they went on to defeat Owen Sound 3-2. The MVP. for Owen Sound went to Drew VanKooten.

Owen Sound responded in the second game against Whitby by defeating them 1-0 with an unassisted goal by Jacob Lumley.   Brody Caskinette was outstanding in net, earning a shutout.  He received the MVP award for this game for his feat.

The third game was against the undefeated East Gwillimbury.  Owen Sound went up 3-0 but just wasn’t enough to hold off the opposition.  Scoring for Owen Sound was Ethan Boivin, Luke Grimoldby & Kaleb Sutherland.  The final score was 5-3 for East Gwillimbury.  Talon Johnsen Owen Sound's goalie received the MVP.

The team played their best games so far this season and we are extremely proud of their efforts.

Keep up the hard work boys as you continue with your regular season play, and prepare for the next Tournament at the end of November.

Special thanks to Allison Sutherland for her many hours of hard work during and leading up to the tournament, and to all the volunteers who contributed their time as well.

Also many thanks to Jamie Grimoldby and all the Coaching staff for their encouragement and leadership.
