The OSMHG office must receive applications and supporting letters no later than April 28th. All applications and supporting letters become the property of the OSMHG Josh Olynyk fund. This Scholarship honours Josh Olynyk, Owen Sound Minor Hockey Player, who passed away of Ewing’s Sarcoma, July 27, 2009.

    Criteria For Scholarship Award:
    Recipient of this award must meet the following criteria:

    - Must be a Midget Player in the Owen Sound Minor Hockey League (male or female) either in the year in which they are accepted into a post-secondary program or the following year if the player chooses to postpone enrollment to return to high school for another year.

    - Must be accepted to a post-secondary program - preference will be
    given to a trade or apprenticeship program.

    - The award is intended to be used towards tuition costs. If there is
    equality in the quality of applicants, burden of expense will be

    - If all criteria is equal, the scholarship may be split equally.
