Crescent Midgets Lace Up for Shoebox Campaign
The United Way of Bruce Grey received shoeboxes full of personal hygiene items for local teenagers in need.  The Crescent Midgets wanted to give back and the Shoebox campaign was the perfect fit.

Team captain Joel Coghlin states "There are a surprising number of kids in Bruce Grey that just don't have the means to afford some of the basics, that we sometimes take for granted. This is a great team with a big heart so we thought the Shoebox might just make a difference in someone's life."  The Shoebox campaign is a global effort to fill 'shoeboxes' with personal items that people need in their everyday lives. Coaches Nick MacArthur and Rod Currie are proud of how the boys stepped up and say "The Crescent Athletic Club really supports it's community, so it was important that we carry on that tradition." The Shoeboxes will be distributed by the United Way before Christmas.
