Major Atoms win Feb 15 at home, News, Atom Major, 2011-12 (Owen Sound Minor Hockey Group)

The Major Atom Leeder & Associates beat Creemore 4 to 2 at home to give them a 3 and 2 record half way through the Georgian Bay playoff series. 

The last game against Creemore was a nail bitter with Owen Sound losing 3 to 2. Tonight Owen Sound boys were hoping for a win and so they came out strong with Dominic Millman scoring the first goal of the game assisted by Jerrid Fossold and Collin Struthers. Jerrid Fossold scored the second goal for Owen Sound early in the second period that was assisted by Tre Govier and Drew VanKooten. Creemore then scored a nice goal to make it a 2 to 1 game but Bryson Pruski quickly came up with what turned out to be the game winner and Owen Sounds third goal of the game, this goal was assisted by Colin Kitto. Creemore snuck another one in so the score was 3 to 2 starting the third period. Jerrid Fossold sealed the deal with Owen Sounds fourth goal of the game, assisted by Collin Struthers and Tre Govier. Great job boys, you all worked hard to earn that win.  Brody Caskenette was the goaltender who made some spectacular saves to hold Creemore to 2 goals!
