Owen Sound Fall Classic

Owen Sound was defeated 4 to 2 by the Kitchener Rangers in the opening game of the Owen Sound Fall Classic.  Andrew Suchomel scored in the first period assisted by Nick Mandeno and Jesse Woods.  Joel Gallagher scored the go ahead go in the first period with 1 second remaining on the clock, assisted by Jaden Goldie and Brayden Krueger.  It was not enough to hold off Kitchener who came back strong in the second and third periods.



On Saturday, Owen Sound faced Niagara-on-the Lake in a close match.  Brayden Krueger scored in the first period assisted by Jaden Goldie.  Niagara-on-the-Lake went ahead in the second, and Kaleb Martin scored making it 2 to 1 for Owen Sound.  Niagara-on-the Lake scored in the third tying the game at 2. 

Owen Sound faced East Gwillimbury in the third game of the tournament on Saturday afternoon.

Andrew Suchomel scored with less than 20 seconds remaining in the first period assisted by Joel Coghlin.

Joel Gallagher scored unassisted in the second period.

Mason Adams earned the shut out for Owen Sound.

MVP awards were given to Joel Gallagher, Kaleb Martin and Mason Adams for games one two and three respectively.
