Owen Sound Minor Hockey has set it's 2011/12 season registration fee at $330 for payments before August 1st, 2011. Payments on or after this date will be $380. Tryout fees will be set at $50.
This year we are also excited to introduce free registration to players who have never played before who are 5 - 10 years of age by December 31st, 2011 (4 year old will be accepted if they are able to skate). The free registration will apply to House League Fees only. The player must also qualify to play in OSMHG under the guidelines set out in the regulations of the OMHA 3.4 - Right of Choice. STEPS TO REGISTERING YOUR CHILD
1. Review the Registration Newsletter which can be found [here]
2. Determine Eligibility to Play in Owen Sound
- If your child is a new member to OSMHG, please determine whether your child is eligible to play hockey in Owen Sound by reviewing our [Player Eligibility status] page. Also determine on this page whether you need to purchase a "Non-resident" card from the City of Owen Sound)
3. Decide whether you are able/would like to register your child on-line or using the mail-in registration.
Online Registration is:
• convenient • secure • allows credit card payment
• immediate tax receipts
• fees automatically calculated
• no worry about the application getting lost
** Please Note that starting July 1st, 2011, Hockey Canada will be charging a
$2 convenience fee per session to online registrations. If you register your entire
family at once, the fee would be $2.00 **
Existing members
- You may register on-line or manually
New players 8 years of age and younger
- you may register on-line or manually. Either way you must email or mail a copy of your birth certificate to the registrar.
New players 9 years of age and older
- Due to OMHA regulations, new players in this age group cannot be registered on-line. Please register using the manual application and be sure to include a legible photocopy of your childs' birth certificate.

(applies to players living outside the city limits)
c. Complete and include a [OMHA to OMHA Residential Transfer] form (if applicable)
(applies to player moving to Owen Sound that played in another OMHA centre)
d. Complete and include a [Player transfer] form (if applicable)
(applies to player moving to Owen Sound from a non-OMHA centre)
6. Manual Registration and any additional forms can be mailed to:

7. Players who registered online can print a copy of their fitness tax receipt
