Owen Sound Jr Attack Canadian Tire Novice A team has a strong finish at the Pickering Spring Thaw Tournament
The Owen Sound Canadian Canadian Tire Novice A team had a good weekend at the Pickering Spring Thaw tournament to end off their season

The Owen Sound Canadian Tire Novice A  team placed 4th out of 7 teams in their round robin division with a 1-1-2 record.
They advanced to the semi finals on Sunday where they managed to eliminate the first place Glanbrook Rangers team with a 4-3 win which put them into the finals Sunday afternoon against the Frontenac Flyers.
The Jr. Attack played a solid game against the Flyers but in the end came up short with a 5-2 lost and ended up taking home the silver medal for the weekend.
Coach Sean Laycock's final comments for the weekend where "the boys played extremely well this weekend.  Everyone of them showed up to play every game.  They entire team has come a long way this season since the beginning of the season away back in September.  I am proud of the effort that we got from every player this weekend and the boys should be proud of themselves.  This was a great way to cap off a great, fun season".
The rest of the coaching staff echoed Coach Laycock's final comments and also added that every time you go to a tournament and get to play on Sunday it is a big accomplishment especially with the tough competition that you meet in these tournaments.  Even though our boys played their hearts out in that final game they just came up a little short against a very strong Frontenac Flyers team.
The coaching staff would like to say one last final thank you to all of the players for their hard work and dedication this season and also to a great group of parents who provided lots of support to the entire team all year long.  It was great working with everyone - Have a safe and fun summer and we hope to see all of you at tryouts
