Owen Sound Early Bird Tournament Champs
The Owen Sound Harold Sutherland Construction Major PeeWee Junior Attack had a successful weekend playing in front of the home fans in the Owen Sound Early Bird Major Tournament.  On the first day of the tournament the team was 2 & 0; beating the Georgina Blaze 6-0 and the Huntsville Otters 5-1.

Saturday had the Team playing once, in a live televised game on Rogers early in the afternoon.  The opponent this time was the Oro Thunder who they beat 3-0.  Sunday morning had the team up early to finish the round robin portion of the tournament against the Stoney Creek Warriors.  On the line for the Junior Attack was the chance to lock up first place and have the number 1 seed going into the Semi Finals.  Final score, Owen Sound 5, Stoney Creek 0.  The Junior Attack played in the 2nd semi final of the day, against the Guelph Gryphons, with the winner moving on to the Final to play the Oro Thunder who beat the Dorchester Dragons in the other semi.  Final score Owen Sound 5, Guelph Gryphons 0.  For the finals it was back down to the Bayshore Community Centre for a 2:30 puck drop.  The Junior Attack continued their trend of scoring early and often and won the Championship game 5-1.  The entire weekend was a team effort where every player contributed.  Lots of offence, a commitment to defence and strong goaltending led the team to a 6 win 0 loss weekend; scoring 29 goals and only allowing 2 in the 6 games.
