The
Owen Sound Jr. Attack Crescent Club Major Midgets continue to roll.
Lauchlin Elder potted five goals and added an assist to lift the Owen Sound Jr. Attack Crescent Club Major Midgets to a series clinching 7-5 win Saturday over the Woolwich Wildcats in second-round OMHA playoff action.
Brandon Eagles also had a goal and an assist and Tyler Cunningham added a single for the Crescents, who completed a two-game sweep following an 8-3 series opening win over the Wildcats on Friday.
Owen Sound now awaits a winner from the Caledon/Brampton series.
Ryan Hamelin, who had led the Owen Sound offence in Game 1 with three goals and one assist, chipped in with three more assists in Game 2, while Nate Kramer, Adam Roy, John Morris and Josh Bumstead also contributed helpers.
Jerred Kiss earned the win between the pipes.
The Crescents, who eliminated the Hespeler Shamrocks in the first round, are now 5-0-1 in OMHA playoff action.
