The
Owen Sound Jr. Attack Crescent Club Major Midgets downed Woolwich in series opener.
Ryan Hamelin had three goals and one assist and
John Morris scored twice as the Owen Sound Jr. Attack Crescent Club Major Midgets picked up a convincing 8-3 road win Friday over the Woolwich Wildcats in Game 1 of their second-round OMHA playoff series.
Tanner Bastien and
Nate Kramer each had a goal and an assist and
Tyler Cunningham added a single for the Crescents, who can clinch the best-of-three series when they host Woolwich for Game 2 on Saturday night at the Owen Sound Coliseum. The puck drops at 8:45 p.m.
Lauchlin Elder also chipped in with three assists, while
Skylar Leblanc and
David Vander Ploeg each contributed one.
